Renault 5 UK orders open now for priority pass customers

UK orders for the new Renault 5 E-Tech have opened for the first time.

The European Car of the Year is now available, priced from £22,995, to anyone who signed up for the R Pass priority access.

This allows them to be among the first drivers to get their hands on the new all-electric supermini, before general orders open on January 29.

Renault has also extended availability of the £150 R-Pass until January 28, allowing potential customers to get in ahead of the wider public via a £150.

Any R Pass holder who places an order before March 31 and buys their car through Renault Mobilize finance will receive three years’ free servicing for their car. Renault also recently announced a 0% APR PCP deal on the 5, meaning drivers can secure an entry-level model for £182 per month over two years.

The electric reimagining of the famous Renault 5 name is available in three trims with two powertrain choices.

The entry-level evolution spec comes with a 118bhp motor and 40KWh battery capable of up to 190 miles on a charge. It features 18-inch diamond-cut alloys, full LED lights, a 10.1-inch central central touchscreen, 7-inch digital instrument display, auto air conditioning, cruise control and a heat pump.

Above it and priced from £24,995 is the techno model. This can be ordered with the 40kWh battery or the 52kWh battery which costs an extra £2,000 and offers up to 253 miles of range. Techo also adds adaptive cruise control, a larger instrument display and a parking camera, among other features.

The range-topping iconic five costs from £26,995 for the 40kWh version and £28,995 for the 52kWh one. On top of the techno upgrades, it gets adds heated front seats and a heated steering wheel, hands-free parking, blind spot warning and lane centring assist

Later this year, the 5 will be joined by a new Renault 4 compact crossover and in 2026 the outrageous Renault 5 Turbo 3E will go on sale to a select few with very deep pockets.
