Zest named as approved charging supplier for NHS
Zest has been named as one of the approved electric vehicle charging suppliers for the NHS.
Zest, a certified B Corporation, is one of a handful of organisations awarded on the NHS Sustainable Transport and Infrastructure Framework Agreement for electric vehicle charging solutions.
This NHS Shared Business Services (SBS) framework agreement provides a quick, simple, and compliant procurement route to market for sustainable Transport and Infrastructure solutions for the NHS and the wider public sector.
The framework provides organisations with a PCR15 compliant route to market and the flexibility to direct award to a single supplier or run a mini-competition saving valuable time and resources.
The experience, expertise and quality commitment of suppliers is assessed during the tender evaluation, with performance and user satisfaction monitored on an ongoing basis. Expert advice is available from the NHS SBS team.
Zest provides fully-funded long-term EV charging solutions that can match the scale of public sector ambition. The company is backed by the government-sponsored Charging Infrastructure Investment Fund (CIIF).
Today Zest is delivering ground-breaking public sector EV projects, working with Hackney to provide the densest charging network in the UK, and with Transport for London to provide comprehensive rapid charging on the TfL road network. The company is also engaged with NHS trusts, primary healthcare groups and provides fleet charging for blue-light services.
“More than any other organisation in the UK, the NHS has the potential to lead the transition to EV by harnessing the sheer abundance of its car parks and fleets,” saidRobin Heap, Zest CEO. “This framework enables Zest to support the NHS and wider public sector in lowering their carbon output, improving local air quality and helping to make the EV transition easier for everyone.”
