Vauxhall introduces the Vivaro Electric GS
Vauxhall has introduced a sporty GS trim level to their Vivaro Electric medium van, with both models featuring striking styling updates and an upgraded interior.
At the front, a new lip spoiler adds to the vehicle’s road presence. To compliment the sharper front profile, the GS is further enhanced by the addition of side skirts with integrated front mud guards. Among the other eye-catching updates is the addition of exclusive Y-spoke 18-inch black alloy wheels and high-load capacity tyres.
The rear of the vehicle also receives GS specific features, including a carefully integrated two-piece spoiler to improve stability when the vehicle is unladen. This is complemented by a completely new rear bumper, which integrates with the unique rear spoiler and side skirts to create a harmonised, striking design.
Inside, hand-crafted eco-leather seats (more resistant to wear and chemicals) with GS logos are now standard across both models. The seats are finished in bold red stitching and perforated material for ventilation, combining premium sporty styling with the comfort required by those who enjoy driving for a living.
Adam Wood, Marketing Director, Vauxhall, said: “The GS offers something very unique to LCV buyers. With unique looks and interior updates, it not only stands out on the road, but also maintains the practicality and versatility the Vivaro is known for. Vauxhall is known as one of few manufacturers able to offer British businesses a fully electric van across our entire line-up, and we’re continuing that with the GS – available on both Vivaro and Vivaro Electric models.”
GS trim will be available on the Vivaro Electric – currently the UK’s best-selling electric light commercial vehicle – exclusively in Panel Van configuration. With a 75kWh battery, the Vivaro Electric GS has a zero emissions range of up to 189 miles under WLTP testing. It supports up to 100kW rapid charging, with an 80% charge taking just 45 minutes, as well as boasting a maximum load volume of 5.8m3 and a payload of 1,000kg.
The Vivaro Electric has a long list of awards under its belt, including ‘Medium Van of the Year’ at the What Van? Awards 2022 and ‘Best Medium Electric Van’ at the Driving Electric Awards 2022. The Vivaro Electric was also voted ‘International Van of the Year 2021’, alongside multiple other top honours, while its sales success underpins Vauxhall’s status as the UK’s best-selling e-LCV manufacturer.
The new Vivaro Electric GS are now open for orders, with prices starting from £41,000 (excluding VAT).
