2025 Genesis GV60 facelift brings new looks and interior
The Genesis GV60 has been given a mid-life facelift and an interior overhaul boasting a 27-inch integrated touchscreen.
This refresh is the GV60’s first since its 2021 launch. Up front, a redesigned ‘three dimensional’ bumper gives the smallest member of the Genesis family a more striking appearance over its predecessor, thanks to a lower positioned grille area surrounded by two boomerang-like air vents.
The updated SUV’s front end boasts Genesis’s signature split headlights, which are now fitted with the brand’s ‘Micro Lens Array’ (MLA) technology inherited from the G90 flagship luxury saloon. According to Genesis, the MLA configuration affords the driver superior visibility and light control than before.
Further exterior changes to the 2025 Genesis GV60 – the brand’s first dedicated EV – include new 21-inch alloy wheels, plus body-coloured wheel arches and bumper accents to enhance the car’s low, wide stance.
Inside, the pre-facelifted GV60’s two 12.3-inch screens have been replaced by a single 27-inch unit, and the previous five-spoke steering wheel has been dropped in favour of a sportier looking three-spoke. However, Genesis’s unique ‘Crystal Sphere’ shift-by-wire gear selector remains.
Genesis has yet to announce any technical changes to the GV60, but it is expected that in-line with its sister cars, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6, its 77.4kWh battery will be replaced by an 84kWh unit. The battery upgrade would see the GV60’s range jump from 321 miles to around 360 miles.
Further information on the 2025 Genesis GV60 will be announced later in the first quarter of 2025. Sales will start in South Korea, and details on European specifications and pricing will be announced in due course.
The Genesis GV60 is available in three trim levels, Premium, Sport, and Sport plus. Since its debut, it has been nominated as electric SUV of the year on several occasions.
