EVA England has partnered with Pod as its first ever home charging partner, as it seeks to accelerate electric vehicle adoption across the UK.
The tie-up between the UK’s foremost EV lobby group and one of the country’s leading wallbox supplier is marked by significant financial savings.
If a 7.4kW Pod Point home charger is purchased outright, the price is reduced by £100 from £999 to £899. By subscribing to the Pod Drive package, the £99 installation fee is removed and the monthly subscription is priced at £34 for three years.
Pod offers a dedicated EV tariff, which is part of a tie-up with energy supplier, EDF. Named ‘Pod Power by EDF’, the tariff offers a seven-hour, off-peak overnight charging window priced at 6.49p/kWh to keep vehicle charging costs down.

Pod Power is also integrated with Pod Rewards, which pays users up to £100 annually for smart charging. This is when the charger automatically schedules charging sessions during periods of low grid demand, and helps balance the network and maximise the use of renewable energy.
On the back of the announcement, Dr. Vicky Edmonds, the CEO at EVA England said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Pod to provide extra support for EV drivers across the country, especially at a time when we need to remind drivers of the real benefits of switching to electric – cheaper running costs and a more convenient refuelling experience .The driver experience is always at the heart of EVA England’s work, and our collaboration with Pod reflects this.
“The ability to charge affordably and seamlessly is something our drivers raise as a priority time and time again, and we are especially pleased to be partnering with an organisation that puts accessible charging at its heart.”
Melanie Lane, Pod CEO added: “EVA England has been instrumental in championing the voices of EV drivers and helping to shape the conditions that have enabled so many people to make the switch already. Our partnership is a natural match, rooted in a shared belief that the EV transition should be fair and accessible for all. We’re delighted to help EVA England members get the most of out of electric living, together.”
