Aehra Impeto and Estasi names revealed as EV brand launches £1.2bn funding bid
Italian luxury EV brand Aehra has revealed the names of its first two models.
The Impeto and Estasi are planned to go into production in 2026 featuring carbon fibre monocoque construction and up to 500 miles of driving range.
The names were revealed as the firm – Italy’s first all-electric brand – announced it had lodged a €1.2 billion development plan with the Italian government, seeking funding aid to build an all-new factory.
The Impeto will be a high-end SUV which early renders suggest will have a sleek, coupe-inspired shape and raised ride height. The Estasi, which has shades of the BYD Seal and Tesla Model 3 in the artist’s impression, will be an ultra-luxurious four-door, four seat saloon. It will be interesting to see whether the concept’s rear-hinged scissor doors make it to production.
Both cars are planned to be built at a new purpose-made factory in Italy’s north-eastern Abruzzo region.
Aehra has just submitted its business plan to the Ministry of Industry and Made in Italy, which controls Italy’s Automotive Fund, in the hope of securing funding to help build the site.
The ambitious scheme aims to create a 207,000 square metre facility at Mosciano Sant’ Angelo, which Aehra says will create 540 new jobs on-site and an additional 110 new jobs in Milan, at the company’s HQ.
The firm plans to break ground on the facility later this year, with production of the Impeto and Estasi beginning in 2026. Aehra’s bold plan is to scale production up to 25,000 cars per year and the factory site will include space to allow additional models to be brought to market.

On choosing the location for the factory, Nada explained: “Abruzzo is home to Italy’s world-leading carbon fibre industry. This factor will prove critical to the creation of the carbon fibre monocoque that sits at the heart of the Aehra sedan and SUV models.
“Aehra has also established a strategic relationship with the University of L’Aquila. Home to one of the world’s most advanced EV engineering centres, the university will prove key to the development of Aehra’s advanced 497-mile range electric powertrain and all future EV technology.”
