NIO 333 Racing Formula E Team reveals new design for Season 9
The NIO 333 Racing Formula E Team has revealed its new livery for Season 9 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
The new design symbolises the continued close working relationship between NIO and 333 Racing, with the traditional light blue colour strong and proudly represented in its livery, and blends perfectly alongside 333 Racing’s dark blue and red house colours.
The red in 333 Racing’s livery signifies the Chinese racing team’s national heritage, and is the most noticeable new touch to the livery, while the iconic dark blue has long been established with the team and was the base colour on last year’s design.
The team’s drivers have already been confirmed as 23-year-old Dan Ticktum, who is entering his sophomore season with the team this year in car #33.
Joining him this year is Sérgio Sette Câmara, the 24-year-old Brazilian who’s going into his fourth season of competition in the series and is the team’s new signing for 2023 aboard the #3 NIO 333 ER9.
Russell O’Hagan, Chief Operations Officer and Deputy Team Principal, said: “We’re really pleased with how our NIO 333 ER9 looks in its full race livery. Hopefully it will be exciting for the fans and followers of the series to see us with a bold new look as we start a new chapter in our history.
“It’s an exciting time for the championship and we’ve worked hard with our design team to generate something dynamic, modern and stylish, it looks great!
“I’m really looking forward to seeing the car in motion next week in Valencia at the pre-season test. We’ve been working really hard on the Gen3 project for a long time now, so it’s a big moment. If the car goes as well as it looks then we are in for a good year. The signs are positive, but time will tell and we don’t have to wait much longer to find out. I am incredibly proud of what the team have achieved so far.”
