Orders open for Peugeot E-408

Peugeot has opened the order books for its new E-408, with prices starting at £42,175.

The electric version of the fastback crossover joins hybrid and PHEV variants and means Peugeot now offers an all-electric version of its entire line-up, from the E-208 hatchback to the E-Boxer 4.5-tonne van.

The Peugeot E-408 comes in the same two trim levels as the hybrid models – Allure and GT, with the GT priced from £44,945, just £125 more than the equivalent plug-in hybrid.

All versions use a 58kWh battery and 207bhp motor, with a range of up to 281 miles. DC charging at 120kW allows a 20-80% charge in around half an hour, and the E-408 can add 62 miles of range in 10 minutes.

Both trim levels feature 19-inch alloy wheels, the latest i-Cockpit with 10-inch digital instrument panel and a 10-inch infotainment system. This supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and comes with connected services and nav with smart EV route planning as standard.

Also standard across the range are heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, heat pump and reversing camera.

GT trim adds Matrix adaptive LED headlights and ‘3D’ LED rear lights, plus a powered tailgate, ambient lighting and the drive assist plus pack with more advanced driver assistance systems.

Orders for the new Peugeot E-408 are open now, with first deliveries due in summer 2025.
