All-electric Skoda Slavia B concept bike celebrates Czech brand’s electrified history
Skoda has unveiled an all-electric motorcycle called the Slavia B, which marks the 130th anniversary since the company began life in 1895 as a bike and motorbike manufacturer called Laurin & Klement.
The original Slavia B was introduced in 1899 with an air-cooled 240cc single-cylinder engine, producing 1.77bhp and a top speed of 25mph. The Slavia B had no gearbox, and its power was managed via a flat belt connected directly to the engine. Skoda made just 540 of them up until 1904.
Penned by Skoda’s Romaine Bucale, a French-born automotive designer who currently works on the Škoda’s existing line of road cars, the re-imagined Slavia B adopts the Czech carmaker’s recently-introduced minimalist ‘Modern Solid’ design language while retaining the distinctive frame of the original.

The 2025 take on the Slavia B gets a front and rear vertical dividing line for sculptural balance, a floating-effect seat, and an integrated leather tool bag, as-per its forebearer. The central part of the electrified Slavia B’s hollow frame also refelcts the ‘haček’; a v-shaped, ‘sh’-sounding Czech language diacritic, which sits above the ‘Š’ in ‘Škoda’.
Further design features of the reimagined Slavia B include large alloy wheels with rectangular-form spokes, and low-set handlebars to achieve an overall cafe-racer appearance.

Skoda has confirmed that the Slavia B will not make it to production, and instead serves as an electrified reimagination within its “remarkable back catalogue of classics”. Other similar historic EV Skodas include the ‘Voltavia’ and the 444bhp ‘Project’ X – both are based on the original Octavia produced by the Mlada Boleslav-based carmaker from 1959 to 1971.
Away from classic models revived as EV concepts, Skoda’s 2025 activities have cemented its position as a key player in the European EV market with the launch of the upcoming Elroq and Enyaq vRS: the brand’s most powerful production cars to-date thanks their twin-motor, AWD setup producing 335bhp and 0-62mph of 5.4 seconds.
