Volkswagen Group (VWG) UK and sister firm, VW Financial Services (VWFS) UK, will sponsor Milton Keynes Pride 2026 for the sixth year in a row as the event’s official automotive partners.
Free to enter, Milton Keynes Pride 2026 takes place at Campbell Park in Milton Keynes from midday on Saturday, September 12. There, the German automotive giant will be showcasing a selection of its vehicles, including an electric ID. Buzz wrapped in pride colours to celebrate the LGBTQA+ community.
The other VW models coming to Milton Keynes Pride 2026 are yet to be named, but we do know that the Tiny Buzz, a scaled-down, remote-controlled version of Wolfsburg’s quirky MPV – in matching Pride colours as its big brother – will be at VW’s event stand. In 2022, the Tiny Buzz made its public debut by delivering the match ball for the opening and final games of the 2022 UEFA Euro tournament.
Alongside VW’s roster of cars, festival-goers will be able to speak to VW Group and VWFS financial services to discover what it’s like to work for the UK arm of one of the world’s largest car manufacturers, plus how it fosters an all-inclusive environment irrespective of age, gender, sexuality, or religion.
Speaking ahead of Milton Keynes Pride 2026, Jamie Hanna, the co-chair of VWG’s employee-led, LGBTQA+ support group, said: “Teaming up with VWFS allows us to showcase even more opportunities and share with local people what it’s like to be part of the Volkswagen Group family. Everyone on our stand is volunteering to be there so you can guarantee an honest and open conversation.”
“The festival benefits the local community through providing a safe space for LGBTQ+ people. It also contributes to local projects ranging from educational development programmes to youth groups and Q:Alliance, a local LGBTQ+ charity. Above all, it’s about people and community.”
Volkswagen, whose UK headquarters are in Milton Keynes, isn’t the only manufacturer to participate in LGBTQA+ events. In recent years, Peugeot sponsored Birmingham Pride 2025 and served as the automotive partner for this year’s European Attitude Pride Awards. Škoda supported European Diversity Month with a one-off ‘Respectline’ edition of its all-electric Elroq.
Away from the manufacturing side of the car world, a series of grassroots events and clubs such as Petrol and Pride (founded in 2025), and The Gay Classic Car Group (founded in 1988) have served as a safe and inclusive space for LGBTQA+ car enthusiasts. LGBTQA+ motorsport enthusiasts can also take part in the UK-based racing pride initiative.
