Volkswagen offering an extra £1,000 saving to UK EV customers
Volkswagen is offering a £1,000 discount to any UK buyer choosing one of its all-electric models in the next month.
From February 4 to March 3, 2025 anyone ordering a brand new, all-electric ID.3, ID.4, ID.5, ID.7 or ID. Buzz will receive the additional savings on top of deals already being offered.
The offer is available whether the customer is paying cash or financing their car through Volkswagen Financial Services.
Those choosing to buy an electric Volkswagen with a personal contract plan (PCP) from Volkswagen Financial Services already receive generous deposit contributions towards their purchase.
VW’s existing savings range from £1,700 from the list price of an ID.7 or ID.7 Tourer, to £8,900 for an ID.5. The additional £1,000 discount will allow buyers ordering a new ID.5 on a PCP could save almost £10,000 in total.
David Hanna, VW’s head of network sales said: “We are really excited to offer this £1,000 saving to customers. We know lots of people are thinking hard about swapping their petrol and diesel cars for an electric alternative. We hope this offer helps to dispel any concerns they might have about affordability and persuades them that an award-winning electric Volkswagen is the best possible choice.”
Those who order a car from VW’s EV range can make further savings when it comes to charging their vehicle. With each purchase, the manufacturer provides a free Ohme home car charger or £500 of We Charge credit for use at public charge points. OVO, VW’s official energy partner, also puts forward a money-saving tariff add-on and free charging offer.
OVO’s ‘Charge Anytime’ plan can be added to any of its tariffs and allows for EV charging at home for just 7p/kWh at any time of day or night. OVO is also offering credit worth up to 10,000 free miles to anyone ordering a new electric Volkswagen by March 31, as well as charging credit worth up to 1,000 free miles when they reach the third year of their lease agreement.
