Genesis Electrified G80 supersizes EV luxury
Genesis has revealed fresh details of its updated G80 saloon, promising more space, luxury and tech than before.
Following the Korean brand’s decision to go all-electric in the UK, the 2025 Genesis Electrified G80 is the only version of its flagship four-door and comes exclusively in extended wheelbase guise.
That means an extra 13cm between the wheels to offer even more interior space. It also means more weight but thanks to a new 94.5kWh battery, the bigger car now offers up to 354 miles of range – 31 miles more than the smaller outgoing model.
Apart from the extra length, visual changes to the Electrified G80 are subtle. A refreshed lower bumper sits beneath the same crest grille as before, and there are new 19-inch alloy wheel designs and the addition of an exclusive Geneva Silver paint finish alongside 13 other shades.
Even less obvious, but more useful, the Electrified G80’s charging port has been upgraded and now features a powered door, heating and illumination.

Under the refreshed skin, the Electrified G80 retains the same twin-motor setup as before, offering a total of 365bhp and all-wheel-drive. There’s no word on performance but expect the bigger new car to take a small hit on the previous model’s five-second 0-62mph time. Ultra-rapid DC charging allows a 10-80% charge in 25 minutes.
Inside, there are new seat designs intended to improve comfort in the front and rear, and the option of a new Prussian Blue interior finish. The cabin also gets the same 27-inch ‘connected car interactive display’ as the updated Electrified GV70, and an extended leather finish.
Just one trim level is offered – Dynamic. This includes new adaptive LED headlights, road-scanning adaptive air suspension, active noise cancelling, and a 17-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system with Dolby Atmos. It also gets ‘digital key 2.0’ that allows owners to open and start their G80 with a fingerprint, plus an anti-bacterial UV-C steriliser system which can, apparently, sanitise items stored in the compartment under the front armrest.

Among the additional options, buyers can opt for rear-wheel steering, and a ‘comfort’ pack that includes electrically closing rear doors and powered window blinds.
Prices for the new Genesis Electrified G80 are still to be confirmed but we’d predict an increase over the current model’s £76,500 when orders open on June 3.
