Genesis confirms new enhancements for 2025 Electrified GV70
Genesis has announced details of the updated 2025 Electrified GV70 as order books open.
The Korean premium brand previously announced pricing for its all-electric SUV and has now revealed more information about the visual and equipment upgrades and different trim levels.
The clearest exterior changes are a new ‘G-Matrix’ Crest grille and a new interpretation of the two-line LED headlights incorporating Micro Lens Array (MLA) technology for more refined adaptive operation. As with many midlife facelifts, the front bumper has also been reshaped to freshen up the car’s appearance.
At the rear, the indicators have been repositioned and two-line chrome detail echoes the main headlight and tail light configuration. The high-level spoiler has also been tweaked to house the rear-view camera and new high-level brake light.
A new Ceres blue paint finish has been added to the range’s 13-colour palette and higher-grade Dynamic and Luxury models come with 20-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels as standard.
Replacing the previous model’s single Sport trim level, the 2025 Electrified GV70 comes in Dynamic and Luxury trims along with the entry-level Pure specification. All versions benefit from upgraded soft-touch interior materials and there are new aluminium interior accents that combine with ‘Milky Way’ patterned mood lighting.

Alongside that, a new “Mood Curator” uses a combination of lighting, music and scents to create a variety of interior ambiences, including Vitality, Delight, Calm and Comfort. In cars with the Ergo Motion seat technology, the Mood Curator even integrates the massage seating functions.
To give buyers more personalisation options, the updated Electrified GV70 comes with a choice of four interior combinations – Obsidian Black, Frozen Grey/Urban Brown and Glacier White/Icy Blue.
The updated interior also features a redesigned steering wheel, new heating controls and replaces the twin 12.3-inch screens with a panoramic 27-inch OLED “Integrated Cockpit” incorporating the infotainment and driver instrument displays.
Other tech enhancements include a new Digital Key 2, which uses a smartphone app to automatically unlock the car as the driver approaches, and allows them to start the car without a key in conjunction with a built-in fingerprint sensor.
Prices for the updated 2025 Electrified GV70 start at £65,915 – £1,615 more than the outgoing model. All versions get full LED lighting, powered tailgate, heated leather front seats and steering wheel, three-zone climate control and highway driving assist. Road-scanning adaptive air suspension is also fitted across the range, along with an energy-saving heat pump.
The £70,715 Dynamic trim replaces the standard 19-inch alloy wheels with 20-inch designs, adds more sophisticated highway driving assistance, head-up display and 360-degree surround view camera, plus remote parking. Top-spec Luxury trim starts at £74,915 and brings a panoramic sunroof, cooled front seats and heated rear seats and active noise cancelling tehnology.
The Electrified GV70’s motors remain unchanged – two 180kW units providing all-wheel-drive and 483bhp. The battery, however, has been upgraded from 77.4kWh to 84kWh, boosting its maximum range by 15 miles, to 298 miles.
Genesis previously confirmed that the new GV70 will only be sold as a pure EV in the UK, having decided to ceased sales of all petrol and diesel models.
