Peugeot e-3008 and e-5008 get new range-topping GT Premium trim with back-friendly seats

Peugeot is now offering its all-electric e-3008 and e-5008 SUVs in a newly-introduced flagship ‘GT Premium’ trim.

Over the previous range-topping GT trim, GT Premium gives the mid-sized e-3008 and full-sized e-5008 a set of 20-inch diamond-cut ‘Sofia’ alloys, plus Mistral Black Alcantara seats off-set with Peugeot’s light green ‘Iced Clay’ stitching.

Further additions to the GT Premium trim include the Driver and Passenger seat pack, which is approved by Germany’s AGR (Campaign for Healthier Backs). Both front seats get 10-way electric adjustment, pneumatic lumbar support, adaptive side bolsters, plus five-point massaging. All seats front and rear are heated.

As well as a raft of safety features including lane assist, rear cross traffic alert, and blind spot monitoring, the GT Premium Peugeot e-3008 and e-5008 come with 360-degree parking cameras and flank guard protection.

The GT Premium trim is available on each all-electric version of the e-3008 and e-5008. The line-up comprises both single and twin-motor models.

The single motor, 210bhp e-3008 with the 73kWh battery manages a WLTP-estimated 326 miles on a charge. Meanwhile, the larger e-5008 has a slightly lesser 310-mile range. Pricing for the Peugeot e-3008 GT Premium single motor starts at £51,590, while the e-5008 begins at £54,260.

The 230bhp Long Range cars with their 97kWh batteries see the e-3008 and e-5008 return 435 miles and 414 miles respectively. With their extended miles, the former is priced from £54,290 and the latter £56,990.

At the very top of the GT Premium tree, the e-3008 Dual Motor weighs in at £54,590 and the e-5008 Dual Motor from £57,290. Having tested both, these twin-motor models are EV Powered’s pick of the bunch.

Producing a combined 321bhp, the Dual Motor cars have a reduced range of 298 miles for the e-5008, while the e-3008 manages 303 miles. However, the driving and ride experience offsets the number deficit. Both come with all-wheel drive, plus hill-descent assist, and ‘Dual Motor’ badging to separate them from their single-motor cousins.
