The new Polestar 4 is priced from £56,750, promising improved dynamics, plus a restructured trim-level structure and naming system.
Heavily revised for the 2027 model year, Rear motor and Dual motor versions of the new Polestar 4 have undergone a chassis recalibration featuring high-capacity passive dampers, along with new spring and anti-roll bar settings.
The outgoing car’s polyurethane rebound stops have also replaced internal rebound coil springs. As a result of the changes, the Swedish carmaker promises “a more controlled ride in all driving conditions with improvements to both agility and comfort.”
The new Polestar 4 ushers in a simplified trim level structure and naming convention, comprising Rear motor, Dual motor, and Dual motor with Performance pack. The models are differentiated via a series of subtle internal aesthetic details.
On Rear motor cars, the seatbelt and rotary control design are coloured in all black; all-wheel-drive (AWD) Dual motor versions have them trimmed in black offset with a stripe of the brand’s signature Swedish gold, while these components on Dual motor with Performance pack models are finished in Swedish gold.
Polestar now offers the new 4 in two trim levels: Business and Prime. Business introduces Pilot assist, Lane change assist, and Park assist, plus rear privacy glass.
Internally, Prime adds a Harmon Kardon sound system, a driver’s head-up display, illuminated knit door cards, a rear control screen, 12-way adjustable seats, a heated rear bench, tri-zone climate control, and a PM2.5 air purifying system.
Visually, Prime cars benefit from an illuminated Polestar logo, Pixel LED headlights with adaptive high beam, and a foot-operated tailgate. Since its 2023 debut, Dual motor variants of the Polestar 4 have slashed their emissions by 1.1 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent.
On the back of order books for the new Polestar 4 recently, brand CEO, Michael Lohscheller, commented: “The upgraded Polestar 4 is better than ever, offering a more refined ride with enhanced driving pleasure, and stronger sustainability credentials. Overall, it [the Polestar 4] delivers an even more compelling package without compromise.”
Pricing for Rear motor versions of the new Polestar 4 starts at £56,750, while Dual motor cars start at £63,750. The latter is also the fastest car in the Polestar range, with a 0-62mph time of 3.8 seconds.
