Leapmotor invites drivers to ‘take a leap’ into EV motoring with free bungee jump
Leapmotor is offering potential UK EV customers a free bungee jump at its pop-up showroom in Coram’s Fields, London.
The Chinese newcomer brand is giving 100 EV-curious customers the chance to dive off a 50-metre-high crane above the venue; that’s the same length as an Olympic-sized swimming pool, or five double-decker buses stacked atop each other.
The 100 bungee jumps are on a first-come, first-served basis from today (June 25) onwards. Jumps start at 10am and finish at 5pm, and will give participants a panoramic view of the capital as well as landmarks such as the Shard, the London Eye, and the BT Tower.
The thinking behind Leapmotor’s bungee jump idea is to get motorists to “take a leap” and make the switch from a petrol or diesel-powered car to an EV.
At its Coram’s Fields site, Leapmotor’s two all-electric UK offerings will be on display to look around and sit in. Priced from £15,995, the Leapmotor T03 city car is one of the cheapest new cars on sale today, and rivals the likes of the Dacia Spring.
Meanwhile, the larger Leapmotor C10 SUV is pitched at the likes of the Tesla Model Y and the Skoda Enyaq, albeit with a much lower starting price of £36,500.

Since it started selling cars in the UK earlier this year, Leapmotor has embarked on an aggressive expansion strategy. The company is backed 51% by Stellantis, meaning the T03 and the C10 are sold in 46 dealerships nationwide that fall under the Stellantis umbrella.
By the end of 2025, Leapmotor aims to have expanded its network to 80 retailers and has said it will expand its model line-up to six cars within the next two years.
Damien Dally, managing director of Leapmotor UK, said: “Leapmotor is on a mission to be the best value EV brand in the UK and make electric driving accessible to everyone.
“It’s clear many drivers are still nervous about making the switch to electric, but we believe our offering, highly specified, affordable electric cars jammed-packed with technology, are the perfect first step into electric.
“As for our pop-up showroom, a bungee jump can feel daunting for a lot of people, but sometimes taking a leap out of your comfort zone is exactly what’s needed.
“For some the idea of switching to electric can feel the same way at first, but unlike a bungee jump, there’s nothing scary about going electric.”
