Fiat reveals images of upcoming £25k Grizzly EV

Fiat has revealed the initial images of its all-electric, C-segment Grizzly SUV and Grizzly Fastback SUV coupé, some 10 days after they were announced at the 2026 Investors Day held by parent company, Stellantis.

Both body styles of the Fiat Grizzly EV have a compact footprint of less than 4.5 metres, and are underpinned by the same Stellantis ‘Smart Car’ platform as the Grande Panda, Vauxhall Frontera, and the Citroen e-C3 Aircross.

Nonetheless, Fiat insists that the Grizzly EV isn’t a larger version of its most famous nameplate. Instead, it’s an extension of the Panda family.

With their shared boxy styling harking back to the original Panda of the 1980s, the bloodline between the two models is visible. The Fiat Grizzly, however, promises a “best-in-class” trunk capacity, suggesting that it will have more boot space than the 361 litres offered by its cousin.

While Fiat has yet to provide any further information about the Grizzly’s electric powertrain, it is expected to be offered with the 44kWh and 54kWh batteries used in the Grande Panda. The smaller unit of the two has a 180-mile range, while the larger pack can manage up to 250 miles on a single charge.

In line with Fiat’s decades-long ethos of building affordable, easy-to-use, characterful cars, the Grizzly aims to “simplify everyday life” for its owners.

Ahead of the Grizzly’s launch, Olivier Francois, Fiat CEO and Stellantis CMO, remarked: “The Grande Panda marked the return of Fiat to affordable family movers.

“With the Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback, we’re completing this lineup with two vehicles designed around different needs, different lifestyles, but sharing the same idea: smart, accessible and rooted in Fiat’s design DNA. Together, they bring Fiat back to the heart of the family mobility market with a complete and coherent line-up.”

When it arrives in Europe during the second half of this year, the Fiat Grizzly is expected to be priced from around £25,000.
