Cupra Tavascan updates include new soundtrack and a sporty Extreme Pack
The Cupra Tavascan EV is now available with a series of updates including a new vehicle sound, ‘Century Bronze’ matt paint, new upholstery choices, and an optional ‘Extreme Pack’.
In line with the growing trend of piping simulated noises into EV cabins to amplify the driving experience, Cupra is one of the latest carmakers to join fold with the Tavascan. Its ‘sound signature’ kicks in when the Cupra and Performance driving modes are activated, and reacts in accordance with throttle input and speed.

The ‘Century Bronze’ matt paintjob has been introduced to enhance the Tavascan’s SUV coupé design, while the sports-focused, three-spoke steering wheel is now available as a leather-free option. The interior of the Ford Capri and Kia EV6 rival is now also available in standard textile, or the Spanish performance brand’s dual-finish ‘Dinamica’ option.
The Tavascan’s interior can be further enhanced by the addition of the optional Extreme Pack, which introduces heated and ventilated CUP bucket seats. The Extreme Pack’s aesthetic enhancements continue outside, courtesy of 21-inch forged alloy wheels and 255mm front and rear performance tyres.
Based on the less visually-daring Volkswagen ID.5, the Cupra Tavascan is priced from £47,350 in base V1 model. The mid-tier V2 and VZ1 start at £53,845 and £55,945 respectively. Meanwhile, the flagship VZ2 costs £60,845.

Across the Cupra Tavascan range, a 77kWh is standard and available with either rear wheel-drive or all wheel-drive drivetrain. The RWD Tavascan returns up to 353 miles between chargers, while its AWD sibling manages a maxium range of 324 miles.
In line with Cupra’s policy of naming its models after places in Spain, the Tavascan moniker comes from a village best known for using its lakes to produce green energy.
