Citroen e-Berlingo Collection celebrates 30 years of France’s minivan with £1,500 discount

Citroen has unveiled its new e-Berlingo ‘Collection’ model to mark the 30th anniversary of its small van, which has sold more than 4.2 million units in 90 countries worldwide since its 1996 arrival.

Replacing the entry-level ‘Plus’ trim, the Citroen e-Berlingo Collection benefits from additional kit inside and out.

In addition to the birthday special ’30’ badges on the front pillar, the e-Berlingo Collection gets 16-inch black ‘Chaves’ alloy wheels, tinted windows, a 180-degree rear-view camera, plus a choice of four body colours: Icy White, Kiama Blue, Cumulus Grey and Perla Nera Black.

Inside, the extra toys include a 10-inch, centrally located infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a digital driver’s display, a heated leather steering wheel, and Citroen’s ergonomic Advanced Comfort seats.

None of the e-Berlingo’s versatility has been affected, and the passenger-focused Collection has three individual seats in the second row that can move and fold independently. They can also be removed entirely, transforming the e-Berlingo Collection into a load-lugging van.

The e-Berlingo Collection comes with a 54kWh battery capable of up to 213 miles on a single charge.

The five-seater Citroen e-Berlingo Collection is priced from £32,490, or £30,990, with the £1,500 Electric Car Grant (ECG) added. The range-topping, seven-seat e-Berlingo XL also benefits from the Government’s discount.

The Collection trim has also been extended to the e-C3 and e-C4 range, as Citroen seeks to “offer customers more while keeping costs under control” by concentrating on its signature traits of affordability, comfort, and value.

The ECG is available across Citroen’s EV-only range. In addition to the e-C3, e-C4, and the e-Berlingo, the e-C3 Aircross and flagship e-C5 Aircross also benefit from the £1,500 price reduction. Citroen’s EV march doesn’t stop with its current range of cars. Recently, Stellantis announced that Citroen will revive its iconic 2CV as a £15,000 EV in 2028.
