Charge point operator Believ opens Edinburgh office
Believ, one of the United Kingdom’s leading charge point operators, has opened a branch in Edinburgh as it continues its drive to provide tailored charge point solutions to local authorities, businesses, and landowners across the UK.
The Edinburgh branch joins offices in London and Cardiff, and according to Believ CEO, Guy Bartlett, it aligns with Scotland’s sustainability future initiatives. By 2045, the country aims to be net-zero, and in 2022, the UK was voted the fourth most environmentally friendly country in the world.
In line with its green objectives, the Scottish Government has announced that it will reduce its carbon dioxide emissions by 66% by 2030.
“Scotland continues to lead the way in sustainability initiatives, [and] our Edinburgh office highlights Believ’s commitment to working hand-in-hand with regional partners to build a robust, accessible EV network across the UK,” said Bartlett.
“We are delighted to open our Edinburgh office, marking an important milestone in our mission to deliver cleaner air for all. This new location allows us to better serve Scotland’s local authorities and businesses while providing convenient facilities for our staff and partners.”
Believ is backed by several shareholders including major Formula E investor, Liberty Global, and the UK Government’s CIIF (Charging Infrastructure Investment Fund).
“Whether grant-funded or not, our fully funded model ensures that infrastructure can be deployed near and beyond where our offices are located,” Bartlett continued. “We are well-equipped to install all charging speeds depending on the location’s needs.”
Believ aims to create a reliable, affordable, charging network in collaboration with local authorities for EV owners who do not have access to charging at home.
Since its foundation in 2021, Believ has partnered with local authorities in Hammersmith and Fulham, Waltham Forest, West Northamptonshire Council, Wandsworth, and Croydon.
