Baltasar debut radical all-electric REVOLT R Concept at Automobile Barcelona 2025
Spanish electric supercar manufacturer Baltasar are preparing to shake up the world of high-performance EVs once again with the global debut of the REVOLT R Concept — a race-focused evolution of its already extreme street-legal REVOLT.
The world premiere which took place at Automobile Barcelona 2025, running to 18 May, the company has revealed its most uncompromising machine to date: a track-only, aerodynamically enhanced electric prototype that pushes the limits of performance engineering.
Built solely for the racetrack, the REVOLT R Concept represents an extreme iteration of the original REVOLT, introduced in 2021 and currently in its final homologation phase ahead of a 2026 commercial launch. The new model features a bespoke aerodynamic package that includes an aggressive front end, splitter, side skirts, and a large active rear wing with a driver-operated DRS system — all engineered for maximum downforce and speed.
Inside, the REVOLT R is stripped down to racing essentials: a single FIA-homologated carbon seat, a removable Formula-style steering wheel, and magnesium single-nut wheels with slick tyres complete the uncompromising track-focused interior.
Like its road-going sibling, the REVOLT R is hand-built entirely in Catalonia. Development takes place at Baltasar’s Cerdanyola del Vallès HQ, while production will move to a new facility in nearby Sant Cugat del Vallès. Both models are constructed using carbon fibre and include a chromoly steel safety cage to comply with FIA safety standards.
At just 800kg, the REVOLT R’s featherweight build is matched by a cutting-edge suspension system with carbon fibre and aerospace-grade aluminium pushrods. The high-performance battery, developed in partnership with MILLOR BATTERY — another venture led by Baltasar López — enables 80% DC fast charging in just five minutes. Charging infrastructure will be supported by Enchufing, Spain’s specialist EV charging network.
Baltasar’s approach remains deeply bespoke: each car is tailored to its buyer’s specification and hand-assembled, reinforcing the brand’s ethos of combining artisanal craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology.
Although a launch date and final price have yet to be confirmed, the REVOLT R is expected to be priced around €450,000.
