GWM Ora 03 updated with Renault-rivalling price and GT model
GWM UK has launched an updated line-up for its Ora 03 hatchback, with revised prices and a new range-topping GT variant.
The five-door family hatch is now available to order with prices starting from £24,995 for the Pure trim. That is £7,000 cheaper than the previous entry model and puts the Ora 03 (previously known as the Funky Cat) in competition with the Renault 5, BYD Dolphin and MG 4.
Despite the price cut, the GWM Ora 03 Pure retains the same 45.4kWh battery as the previous entry-level car, offering up to 192 miles of driving range. That’s matched to a 169bhp motor.
Pure grade cars feature a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple and Android capability, as well as satellite navigation, wireless phone charging, a 360-degree parking camera, keyless entry and rear parking sensors. There is also an array of driver assistance including adaptive cruise control and high beam assist.
Above Pure, the Pro version costs from £28,995 and features a 59.3kWh battery for 261 miles of range. It also gets faux-leather upholstery, heated front seats and auto park assist as standard.
The new range-topping GT trim brings a host of cosmetic upgrades including a spoiler, red exterior and interior accents, widened wheel arches over 18-inch diamond-cut alloys, and unique front and rear bumper treatments. wheels that feature red detailing and are complemented by red brake callipers. Inside, the red-accented seats feature ventilation and massage and there’s a panoramic roof, as well as a heat pump and a launch control mode, despite using the same 169bhp motor as all other versions.
Orders for the new GWM Ora 03 are open now, with first deliveries expected in March.
