Polestar unveils electric mountain bike to pair with its SUVs
Swedish EV specialist Polestar has revealed an electric mountain bike to go with its new SUV range.
The limited edition e-MTB has been created to complement the newly released Polestar 3 and Polestar 4 electric SUVs.
Developed in partnership with Sweden’s Allebike, the Allebike Elize Polestar Engineered is the second model to emerge from the team-up and come finished in Polestar’s ‘Space’ exterior colour, with dampers and details painted in the Polestar signature colour Swedish gold.
The full suspension bike features a bespoke carbon fibre-reinforced polymer frame with a mullet 29/27.5” setup. and a slack head tube angle of 64 degrees. Damping is courtesy of Öhlins RXF38 m.2 with 170 mm travel at the front and the brand’s TTX2Air with 160 mm travel at the rear.
Electric power is provided by a Shimano EP8 motor, driven by a 750Wh battery, and Shimano Auto gear shift and an electric dropper post are fitted as standard.
The Allebike Elize Polestar Engineered is available to buy direct from Polestar, priced at €8,900.
