Tesla Cybertruck is coming to the UK – here’s where to see it

British and Irish drivers will be able to get their first experience of the Tesla Cybertruck from this weekend.

The much-hyped electric pick-up has been on sale in its native America since last year but drivers in the UK and Europe have been unable to order one. Sadly for fans of the outlandish silver wedge, that hasn’t changed but Tesla is taking the truck on a tour of Europe in May and June.

As part of its ‘Cyber Odyssey’, the US brand is displaying the truck in 100 locations across 20 European countries, including 13 sites in the UK and Ireland. It says the eight-week event will allow the public to see the vehicle up close and learn more about its unique specs, features and engineering. Attendees will also be able to book test drives of the Model Y and Model 3 but won’t be able to drive the Cybertruck.

The long-delayed Cybertruck is radical in many ways. First off is its uncompromising sharp-edged design that has barely changed from the early concept. Then there’s the performance, with tri-motor ‘Cyberbeast’ models able to cover the 0-60mph sprint in a ridiculous 2.6 seconds. That 845bhp sits at the top of the range, above a 600bhp all-wheel-drive version, with a single-motor rear-drive model promised for next year. All version use a 123kWh battery – the biggest Tesla has ever fitted – for a claimed range of up to 320 miles in the more efficient model. There’s also the option of dropping a 50kWh range extender battery into the pick-up bed for another 120 miles of range.

The Cybertruck will make its first UK appearance on 4 May at Tesla Centre Park Royal, London where it will be on display for the weekend. Following that, the Cybertruck will also be displayed at the below locations:

  • Tesla Centre Park Royal – 4th to 5th May
  • Tesla Centre Westfield Shopping– 6th to 10th May
  • Kings Cross – 11th of May
  • Tesla Centre Solihull – 13th to 17th May
  • Birmingham Bullring – 18th to 19th May
  • Spinningfields Square – 20th to 21st May
  • Tesla Central Manchester– 22nd to 31st May
  • Edinburgh City Centre – 1st of June
  • Tesla Centre Glasgow – 2nd to 6th of June
  • Tesla Centre Belfast– 7th to 9th June
  • Tesla Centre Dublin – 14th of June
  • Dundrum Shopping Centre – 15th of June
  • Tesla Centre Cork – 18th of 23rd June

Although it is bringing the vehicle across the Atlantic to show, there’s no sign of the Cybertruck actually going on sale in the UK or anywhere else in Europe any time soon.

Announcing the tour, Tesla noted: “While production ramp up will take time, Tesla will be focusing on North America, the main volume market for pick-up trucks.

“Cybertruck is currently not available in Europe and timescales for deliveries outside of North America have yet to be announced.”
