RAW Charging installs largest new EV charging hub at Brent Cross

Brent Cross has installed EV charging infrastructure for up to 58 vehicles at once, making it one of the largest EV charging hubs in the UK.

The retail and leisure destination has partnered with RAW Charging, one of the UK’s leading providers of electric vehicle charging solutions, to install reliable, durable and affordable charging infrastructure at the North London location.

EV drivers can now opt to charge their vehicles whilst enjoying a day out at the shopping centre, which has 120 shops and more than 30 eateries.

RAW Charging has installed 29 dual chargers which will allow 58 electric vehicles to charge simultaneously. The facilities will make Brent Cross a premiere charging destination in London and one of the largest charging hubs in the UK.

Bruce Galliford, CEO RAW Charging said: “The launch of our charging facilities at Brent Cross is the latest part of our roll of charging infrastructure across London and will make the venue one of the largest EV charging hubs in the UK.

“Brent Cross is a superb location in the heart of the local community and has strong transport links to welcome EV drivers from all over London. Local residents and customers of the shopping centre can now make this their go-to charging destination whilst away from home.

“As we move closer towards the government ban on the production of all new petrol and diesel cars in 2030, it is the time for more drivers to embrace electric vehicles. Through partnerships like this, we are making clean motoring accessible, convenient and affordable to encourage more motorists to make the switch to an electric vehicle.”

Chris Barnes, General Manager Brent Cross said: “As electric vehicle ownership rises, drivers’ decisions on where to shop, dine and socialise will be more influenced by destinations, like Brent Cross, which offer charging points.

“As well as supporting more sustainable modes of transport, this roll out will help deliver a valuable boost for our retailers, who will be well placed to serve this customer demographic in-store as their vehicles charge up.”
