Kia to display all-new Niro EV at nationwide ‘Electric Experience’ events

Kia UK is launching a new nationwide ‘Electric Experience’ to give customers the chance to get hands-on with its latest electrified models.

The events will also give the public an opportunity to see the brand-new Kia Niro EV for the first time, as well as its other electrified models such as the new Sportage and EV6.

Electric Experience events are being held across Kia’s 191 dealerships up and down the country, starting in the southeast before working their way north, with events beginning on 20th April and running until 8th July.

The Kia Niro was introduced in 2016 as a fully electrified model, initially launched with a Hybrid powertrain followed shortly after by the Niro Plug-in Hybrid. The fully electric e-Niro was added in early 2018 and has since become one of the best-selling electric cars in the UK. Available with the same three powertrains, Kia says the all-new Niro will look to build on the outgoing model’s success, and as Kia’s second most popular model range after the Sportage. Specifications and pricing will be announced in due course.

The fifth-generation Sportage is available with an extensive electrified model line-up that includes mild-hybrid (MHEV), hybrid (HEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrains that offer an electric range of up to 43 miles.
