Electric vehicle charging firm myenergi opens subsidiary in Australia

Electric vehicle charging brand myenergi is continuing its global expansion with the launch of a new subsidiary in Australia.

The new subsidiary, located in Greater Melbourne, Victoria, will be led by electrification pioneer Russell Shepherd. The move will bring myenergi’s technology, such as the company’s zappi charger, to Australian homes, helping Aussies achieve a more sustainable lifestyle and total energy independence.

The zappi is the world’s first solar compatible EV charger, with optional charging modes to either draw power from the grid or utilise 100% self-generated green energy. The system includes a supporting app that allows users to remotely monitor and control their charging.

Jordan Brompton, co-founder and CMO of myenergi, commented: “We are extremely excited to be launching our new subsidiary in Australia. Our international expansion programme is building with impressive momentum, with subsidiaries already operational in Germany, Ireland and The Netherlands.

“As a renowned electrification expert, Russell is the perfect person to spearhead our Australian operations, bringing a wealth of experience from the EV market. We are fully confident in his ability to highlight the benefits and quality of our technologies and enable widespread adoption by EV drivers down under.”

The company continues to experience impressive global growth. The company, which recently relocated to a purpose-build eco facility in the UK, retails its products worldwide. Amid widespread microchip shortages, myenergi recently completed a project to redesign its entire product range and has since seen product demand skyrocket.
