Peugeot updates entire electric van range
Peugeot has launched updated versions of all three of its electric vans, with orders open now.
Europe’s biggest van maker has refreshed its E-Partner, E-Expert and E-Boxer vans with new looks, improved powertrains and new technology.
All three vans get new-look smooth grilles bearing the brand’s updated shield logo, and revised headlights. These are LED as standard on E-Boxer and available as LEDs on higher grades of E-Partner and E-Expert.
The three vans, which cover the small, mid-size and large van segments, also all include the option of 10-inch digital instruments and a 10-inch infotainment screen incorporating ChatGPT. Peugeot claims this will respond naturally to the “OK Peugeot” command and “become a true driving partner” by answering questions on any topic, suggesting nearby locations to visit and adding them to the sat nav.
Peugeot E-Partner
Efficiency improvements to the existing drivetrain mean that the smallest model in Peugeot’s van line-up now has a maximum range of 205 miles from its 50kWh battery. At the same time, Peugeot has added a three-stage regenerative braking system to help drivers get the most out of the van. All versions feature 100kW DC charging and can be specified with 11kW AC charging.
The E-Partner’s 136bhp motor remains unchanged as does its payload of 780kg and towable weight of 750kg. Customers can choose from two body sizes – the 4.4m standard van with up to three seats or the 4.75m long van, which is available with a standard three-seat or extended passenger compartment with up to five seats.
Prices start at £26,205 for Professional trim after the Plug-in Van Grant (PiVG) and rise to £27,555 for Asphalt trim.
Inside, Professional trim includes a smartphone dock, DAB radio and Bluetooth while Asphalt spec gets a new 10-inch digital instrument display and 10-inch touchscreen featuring connected navigation. Asphalt models are also fitted with a load-through bulkhead and dual passenger bench with under-seat storage, plus LED headlights and body coloured bumpers and door handles.
All E-Partners feature driver attention alert, advanced emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, cruise control and rear parking sensors. Asphalt trim also adds Dynamic Surround View – a camera system showing a view of the rear and passenger side of the van, which would otherwise be difficult to see on a panel van.
Peugeot E-Expert
The new E-Expert gets the same trim line-up as the E-Partner, with Asphalt once again adding full LED lights and body coloured bumpers, as well as power folding mirrors and 17-inch wheels.
Inside, the 10-inch digital instrument cluster and 10-inch touchscreen are standard on both trims, as is a heated driver’s seat. Asphalt trim adds the i-Connect Advanced infotainment system with TomTom connected navigation.
The E-Expert uses the same 136bhp/193lb ft motor as the E-Partner but paired with a 75kWh battery that offers up to 217 miles of range. Like the E-Partner, the new E-Expert features a regenerative braking system and 100kW DC charging that takes it from 0-80% in 45 minutes.
Prices start at £36,210 after the PiVG and the E-Expert is available in a number of versions: Standard (4.98m) or Long (5.33m) panel van, and Standard or Long five or six-seater crew van. These offer up to 6.6m3 of load space, a payload of 1,000kg and a towable weight of 1,000kg.
From next year, the E-Expert will be built in Britain, alongside the Vauxhall Vivaro Electric at Vauxhall’s Luton factory.
Peugeot E-Boxer
The new E-Boxer is the largest model in Peugeot’s range and is only available in Professional trim, with prices from £44,485 after the PiVG.
Externally, the Nissan Insterstar-e rival gets a full LED headlights, a new front bumper, redesigned rear-view mirrors and a new body-colour grille incorporating automatically controlled sections to regulate airflow.
The interior features a new steering wheel design, dashboard, seat fabrics and door panels. A 10-inch touchscreen features connected navigation and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. Automatic climate control, a wireless phone charger and keyless entry and start are also standard equipment.
The E-Boxer features an upgraded powertrain producing 266bhp and 295lb ft of torque. A110kWh battery provides up to 261 miles of driving range, and like the other two vans, there’s regenerative braking. 100kW DC charging will take the E-Boxer’s battery from 0-80% in 55 minutes and the E-Boxer comes with 11kW AC charging as standard for faster depot charging.
Prices range from £44,485 to £46,915 and buyers can choose from panel van or chassis cab configurations in two different lengths, both based on the 4.04m wheelbase.
