Guenther Clinches Victory in Thrilling Inaugural Tokyo E-Prix

In a nail-biting showdown at the inaugural Tokyo E-Prix, it was Maximilian Guenther who emerged victorious after a tense battle on the track.

The German driver seized the lead on Lap 24, capitalising on energy management strategies as the race approached its climax. Guenther strategically positioned himself in the slipstream of the long-time leader and polesitter, Oliver Rowland, ultimately making a decisive move to secure the top spot.

Despite Rowland’s fervent attempts to reclaim the lead in front of enthusiastic Nissan supporters, Guenther held firm, successfully fending off three challenges on the final lap. With this triumph, Guenther not only clinched his and Maserati MSG Racing’s first win since Jakarta in Season 9 but also marked his fifth victory in the series.
