Skoda Epiq interior revealed along with May 19 arrival date

Skoda has dropped two teaser images of how the interior of its upcoming Epiq crossover will look when it’s fully revealed later this month.

The Epiq is the first Skoda to be designed inside and out to the Czech brand’s minimalist ‘Modern Solid’ design language, which was introduced with the facelifted Enyaq last year.

When it arrives in a few weeks, the Epiq will be the smallest electric Skoda in the Czech carmaker’s EV line-up. Yet like the mid-sized Elroq and the even larger Enyaq, its interior promises to be a fuss-free affair designed to ensure “ease of use for both driver and passenger”.

Skoda says that the Epiq’s “horizontal interior architecture replaces a conventional dashboard, enhancing the sense of space and openness”. This translates into a simple, linear layout, which reflects Skoda’s core pillars of practicality and ease of use.

A 5.3-inch digital driver’s display sits behind the steering wheel, while the 13-inch central touchscreen is paired with a row of piano-key-style buttons beneath. What they are for is still to be confirmed. However, given that the Epiq shares plenty of Volkswagen Group DNA with the new VW ID Polo, these could be used to control the car’s HVAC system to meet customer demand for a return to physical switchgear.

Meanwhile, a free-standing centre console offers a wireless phone-charging pad, while an open storage compartment sits between those sitting in the front. An ambient lighting stripe will also run the length of the uncluttered dashboard.

Skoda’s signature ‘Simply Clever’ features remain across the interior, including the umbrella in the driver’s door and the parking ticket holder on the passenger’s side of the windscreen. Skoda promises sustainable materials will be used throughout.

A show car version of the Epiq (pictured above) was displayed at the 2025 Munich motor show and is widely touted as visually close to the production version. At the event, brand CEO, Klaus Zellmer, remarked that the Epiq will capture what a contemporary Skoda should be.

“It embodies the essence of Skoda,” he said. “Modern solid design, a spacious interior within a compact footprint, user-friendly, intuitive digital interfaces, and Simply Clever details that ensure a seamless experience – and above all – at an attractive price point.”

When it goes on sale, the Skoda Epiq will manage up to 267 miles on a single charge, with a price tag to match its petrol-powered counterpart, the Kamiq, which starts at £25,000.
