Everrati Mini ‘a love letter’ to a British icon

Classic car EV specialist Everrati has added to its portfolio with an all-electric version of the iconic Mini.

Revealed on Valentine’s Day, and described as “an electric modern love letter to a classic”, the Everrati Mini is the latest in a series of famous classics to get the EV conversion treatment by the Oxfordshire firm.

The firm which has already electrified models from Land Rover, Range Rover, Mercedes and Porsche says its newest endeavour “honours everything that made the Mini legendary, while re-engineering it for modern usability, refined performance, and a cleaner, quieter driving experience”.

Technical details are being kept under wraps for now but the Mini will be powered by a bespoke setup developed and tuned specifically for the car. Everrati says it will deliver “confident city performance” with “effortless acceleration” and a practical everyday range for urban use.

We would guess that means it’s not getting the 500bhp/63kWh setup from the firm’s Porsche 964 RSR. For reference, rival conversion firm Electrogenic uses a 60bhp motor and 20kWh of batteries to fit into the compact classic’s tiny frame – still a significant boost over the original.

The Everrati Mini will also feature a modern makeover for the interior with 21st century climate control, heated seats, an up-to-date infotainment system and completely overhaul interior finishes.

As part of the commissioning process for the new model, customers will be able to create a bespoke specification based on one of two “expressions” of the Everrati Mini.

The Clubhouse concept is heavily inspired by private members’ clubs and, according to Everrati, “captures the Mini’s confident and charismatic spirit”. Key themes include an oxblood red colourway paired with deep navy blue, with darker metallic finishes and layered interior materials.

The Serenity concept takes a calmer, softer approach. Its peach-led palette, lighter materials and fine detailing are all intended to create a more intimate sense of warmth and comfort.

Customers can register their interest in the new model now and while there’s no indication of price you can bet this little car will come with a big price tag.
