EVBox fast charging station scoops up prestigious design award

EVBox Group, a global provider of EV charging solutions, has been awarded the iF DESIGN AWARD 2021 for the EVBox Ultroniq.

The EVBox fast charging station won the award for public and retail product entries and was evaluated by an international panel of 98 design experts based on idea, form, function, differentiation, and impact.

According to EVBox, the Ultroniq delivers an output of up to 350 kW, allowing drivers to add up to 300 miles of range to their electric vehicle in just 15 minutes. Plus, its robust design allows drivers to charge at any location, even in extreme weather conditions.

The fast charging station is also complete with a smart cable management system, guiding LED lights, and multi-language touchscreen.

Emmanuel Ourry, senior director of DC development at EVBox Group, said: “It’s been an exciting year for DC charging at EVBox Group and I’m confident that this is just the tip of the iceberg. I’m proud to see that our fast charging solution—designed and manufactured in our facility in Bordeaux—has delighted drivers with its great user experience and high uptime while impressing the iF DESIGN AWARD panel with its impactful design.”

The EVBox Ultroniq was also designed in conjunction creative design agency VanBerlo.
