Alpine has confirmed that the development version of its upcoming electric A110 sports car will adopt the ‘A110 Future’ nameplate.
The A110 Future will run up the 1.16-mile Goodwood hillclimb course each day of the world’s largest motorsport celebration, which runs from July 9-12.
When it goes on sale early next year, the production version of the Alpine A110 Future will be the first of the French performance manufacturer’s cars to be underpinned by the all-new Alpine Performance Platform (APP).
Designed as the future architecture for all Alpine models post-electric A110, the aluminium APP positions two battery packs to achieve a 40/60 weight distribution, with a bias towards the rear. An advanced 800V electrical system with high-energy -density cells reduces weight and charging time.
Meanwhile, a 3-in-1 e-axle pairs dual in-wheel motors with a silicon carbide (SiC) inverter that manages the motors’ performance delivery and regenerative capabilities. Alpine promises the system will deliver “exceptional torque, performance, and ultrafast control”.
A full aluminium suspension setup and a torque-vectoring system are also part of the A110’s dynamic setup.
Alpine will use the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed to tell the car’s story from 1970s rally icon to where it is today. It will be joined by the best-selling Alpine A290 hot hatch and the brand’s recently launched Porsche Macan Electric-rivalling A390 fastback.
On the opening day of FoS 2026, July 9, Alpine will hold a “Brand Parade” demonstration run, bringing together the A110 Future, several landmark A110 models from the past, and the Alpine E20 Formula 1 car. Alpine F1 drivers Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto will also be on site, as will reserve drivers Paul Aron, Nina Gademan, and Alex Dunne.
Alpine’s sister brand, Renault, will also be going large at this year’s FoS. The much-anticipated 547bhp R5 Turbo 3E will make its dynamic debut with multiple runs up the hill for the duration of the three-day event.
