Cupra Raval gets pre-order price cut thanks to EV grant approval

Cupra has opened pre-orders for its new Raval, confirming that the compact hatch has qualified for the Electric Car Grant.

The Renault 5-rivalling supermini has received a £1,500 price cut across all variants using the 52kWh battery. Models fitted with the smaller 37kWh battery are still to be approved for the scheme.

That means the Raval’s entry price remains at £23.785 for the base-spec Origin with its 37kWh battery and 113bhp motor. V1 and V2 models with the smaller battery also remain unchanged.

However, the grant approval means the V1 fitted with the 277-mile 52kWh battery and 207bhp motor now starts at £28,495, while the V2 trim is £31,080.

For a limited time, buyers can also upgrade to the V2 Launch Edition for no additional cost. This brings £1,500 of extra equipment, including a surround view camera, Matrix LED headlights, remote parking assist and the advanced Travel Assist 3.0.

To mark the car’s launch, Cupra is also offering standard metallic paint for free on all 52kWh models, and a £695 discount on premium metallic and matte finishes.

The first 100 retail customers who pre-order a Raval will also get a free Harper Collective x Cupra Cabin Suitcase made from recycled ocean plastic and worth £1,125.

The Raval range tops out with the 22bhp VZ and VZ Extreme models, which cost from £3,495 and £34,810 respectively, virtually identical to the rival Alpine A290.

With pre-orders now open, first UK deliveries of the Raval are expected in autumn 2026.
