Citroen launches updated e-C4 with £5,600 price cut
Citroen has slashed the price of the E-C4 as it refreshes its family hatchback line-up.
A new entry-level You! trim cuts the starting price of the E-C4 by more than £5,600 to £26,295, while the range now tops out at £30,150 for the Max specification.
The E-C4 and related E-C4 X fastback have been refreshed for 2025, with the E-C4 being sold in You!, Plus and Max trims, and the E-C4 X only offered in Plus and Max.
You! And Plus versions of both models come exclusively with a 134bhp motor and 50kWh battery offering a range of 219 miles in the E-C4 and 222 in the E-C4 X. Max versions all come with the newer 154bhp motor and improved 54kWh battery, which boosts range to 257 miles in the E-C4 and 263 miles in the E-C4 X.
Standard equipment across all models includes 18-inch bi-tone alloy wheels, upgraded Advanced Comfort seats, a 10-inch touchscreen featuring wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control and rear parking sensors.
Plus, which costs £27,360 in either body style, adds a reversing camera with Top Rear Vision, electrically folding mirrors and an alarm as well as a seven-inch digital instrument display and onboard sat nav.
Top-grade Max gets minor exterior upgrades included tinted rear glass, and adds heated seats and steering wheel, adaptive headlights and adaptive cruise control as well as a unique interior colour scheme in full faux leather.
The new lower-spec trim level follows the example of Citroen’s sister brand Vauxhall. In recent months it has launched a number of cheaper special editions and major discounts in an effort to attract more private customers to its EV range.
