E1 Series
The E1 Series is the world’s first electric powerboat racing championship – and one of the most star-studded grids in any motorsport. Officially the UIM E1 World Championship, the series pits identical electric RaceBird foiling boats against each other on tight waterfront circuits from Monaco to Miami, with teams owned by global names including Tom Brady, Will Smith, Rafael Nadal and LeBron James.
EV Powered covers every round of the championship: race reports and results, calendar announcements, new team signings and the technology behind the RaceBird’s electric powertrain and hydrofoil design.
New to E1? Each race weekend features qualifying heats and knockout finals on short, spectator-friendly courses – think of it as Formula E on water, engineered for city-centre venues where conventional powerboats could never race. For the wider world of battery-powered competition, visit our electric motorsport hub, or see how the same technology is evolving on four wheels in Formula E.
